Why I Built This Space: Software, Iron, and Reflections
I wanted a place on the internet that is truly mine—free of algorithms, zero bloated JavaScript bundles, and without any subscription fees or heavy databases.
This subdomain, blog.reymundolopez.com, exists as a personal hub where I can write about whatever is on my mind:
- Software Development: Architectural decisions, lessons learned building real-world products, frontend & backend engineering.
- Artificial Intelligence: Practical experiences working alongside autonomous coding agents and evolving developer tooling.
- Gym & Fitness: Training routines, progressive overload, nutrition, and staying disciplined.
- Personal Reflections: Book notes, mindset shifts, and everyday thoughts.
Keeping It Simple
The entire technical foundation of this blog is designed to be as minimal as possible:
- Written in plain Markdown stored in Git.
- Built statically with Astro and Tailwind CSS.
- Served with zero runtime memory overhead on my existing server.
Looking forward to documenting the journey here.
